BAD TURN Blog Tour – Day10 – Crime Book Junkie adores Charlie Fox

Today is the finale of the Blog Tour for BAD TURN. Day 10. Thank you for sticking with me this far. Today I’m honoured to have the book reviewed by the fabulous Noelle Holten of Crime Book Junkie. Noelle is a best-selling author in her own right, so it’s a little bit like asking a professional builder to give their opinion on the work you’ve carried out on your own house…

Set mainly in New Jersey in the US, Charlie Fox is back and takes the reader on an adventure filled with fear, control, protection, anger, payback, manipulation, power, corruption and a search for the truth…but there is so much more!

Hells BLOODY Bells! With an explosive opening that instantly grabs the reader, Bad Turn will have you racing through the pages! The premise of this novel was intriguing and I loved how the reader learns a little bit more about Charlie Fox’s backstory which is then sprinkled throughout the novel—teasing you to carry on if you want to know more. Full of suspense and tension, the author once again has nailed it—a brilliant narrative and action packed read—it was like watching a movie in my mind! Superb!

I absolutely ADORE Charlie Fox—and you see a little bit more of a vulnerable side to her in this novel which makes you like her even more! Charlie is doing what she does best and accidentally uncovers a sinister ploy to kidnap a wealthy woman—the wife of an arms dealer. If she was hoping for the quiet life while house-sitting, she should have known better…after all, she IS Charlie Fox!  Determined as ever to see the job to the end, she comes up against some of the toughest characters, but they are no match for Ms Fox!

CrimeBookJunkie’s Top Reads of 2018

One of the most enthusiastic receptions I had last year to the new standalone crime thriller, DANCING ON THE GRAVE, was from the fabulous Noelle Holten otherwise known as CrimeBookJunkie. And I’m delighted to have been named as one of her Top Reads 2018.

Well HOLY SH*TBALLS – what a year it has been for crime fiction! I seriously can’t believe how many fantastic books I had the pleasure of reading this year – some new authors, some old faves – but all were phenomenal for one reason or another. I’ve been so busy this year myself, with work, writing and trying to keep on top of blog tour reads, that I’ve decided to just post the pictures of all the fantabulous books that got under my skin and stuck with me.

You can search for the reviews via my blog, but trust me – they are all worth reading!

#BlogTour Day6 – CrimeBookJunkie demands a series!

The amazing Noelle Holten at CrimeBookJunkie is host to today’s stop on the DANCING ON THE GRAVE Blog Tour. I loved Noelle’s review for FOX HUNTER last year. Her enthusiasm is just a breath of fresh air. But, this is not a Charlie Fox book and rather different in tone from that series, so I was keeping my fingers crossed that she might like it just as much. Turns out I needn’t have worried…

After finally reading my first#CharlieFox book last year, and hearing so much over the years about how awesome Zoë Sharp is, I knew I could not turn down the opportunity to read a#newseriesfrom this fantastic author! I’d like to thank Ayo Onatade and Zoë Sharp for the invite and ARC.

Ooooooh-eeeee! What an incredible treat it was to read this action-packed thriller! Set in Cumbria/the Lake District, the reader is taken on a whirlwind ride of retribution, fear, manipulation, vulnerability, conflict, truth, mental health issues, vengeance, lost souls and the search for the truth. I bloody LOVED it!

The opening…WOW…talk about taking no prisoners! But this is what you get when it comes to Zoë Sharp – sharp in name but also in writing! Told from various POVs, this was a fast-paced plot with a wonderfully believable and engaging narrative, interesting characters and descriptions that have you right in the heart of the Lake District. Tension-filled, addictive and compelling – it is no wonder that I found myself a new series to follow! (I know the blurb on Amazon describes it as a standalone…but OMFG…this NEEDS to be a series!
